Vintage 2017

Deep red colour with tinges of purple and a sweetly-perfumed raspberry and blackcurrant bouquet, fresh and fruit-driven, and very charming. The wine is medium to full-bodied and very attractive in the mouth, with sweet raspberry and blackcurrant flavours, the fruit doing the talking. A very smart shiraz.

While a riper vintage, this is firmly in savoury territory and almost an austere style, which is pleasing. Plenty of dark plums and spice notes with iodine and ferrous characters to the fore. Medium bodied, flinty with lots of tannins, both fruit and oak-derived, ensuring the finish is dry. More time to amalgamate is key.
