PicardyMerlot Cabernet
About this product
This wine by Picardy is predominantly Merlot with the balance made up of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The Merlot is certainly no slouch; with full, ripe, red berry and plum characters balanced by touches of black fruit, spice, dried leaf and char from the Cabernets.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Vintage 2017
85 points The Real Review
Deepish red/purple colour, with a mulberry, smoke and dried herb aroma, the palate lean and light on flavour, lacking fresh vibrant fruit. Mouthwatering acidity. Lean and ungenerous. In one sense, its lightness is a pleasant relief from the many overbuilt wines - but it is short and lacks depth.
