Medium deep colour. Fragrant cassis, sage, espresso aromas with praline notes. Inky textured wine with blueberry, cassis, cola flavours, fine loose-knit grainy tannins and vanilla oak complexity, Finishes al-dente/ chalky with attractive inky length. Generous and well balanced with superb fruit sweetness and tannin balance. Delicious to drink now although should build more fruit complexity and richness of flavour with time.

The vineyard was planted in ''69, and the vines were cut back and reworked in ''09, giving what was always a very good vineyard a new lease of life, appropriate given the tannin structure of the wine, a foundation for its fresh, bright fruit profile.
