Big wafts of acetaldehyde here: fino sherry-like aromas. The wine is big and strong in the mouth; rich and concentrated, full-bodied and yet nicely supple and rounded, the aftertaste clean and dry and appetising. The aftertaste lingers on and on. The palate is superb, the bouquet challenging, and would divide tasters. A powerful wine but it's also beautifully balanced. (NB. This bottle was more aldehydic than the one tasted in April)
