This is so young! Bold roasted-nut aromas, dark chocolate and blackberry flavours, masses of fruit, concentrated but effortless. An elegant wine, with fine tannins and remarkable softness, it already has great drinkability. The tannins are gentle, supple and fleshy; a polished and modern style of Wendouree. From the bouquet, possibly some new barrels were used—unusual at Wendouree

An 80/20% blend. Bright colour; there is a hint of fruit lift and exotic spice to the bouquet ex the mataro, which also subtly alters the shape of the tannins on the finish, the echo feeding back into the savoury nuances of the black fruits on the palate.
