Vintage 2015

Tyrrell's Semillons are in peak form, and the 2015 Brookdale is a lesson in structure. Tightly wound at just 11% alcohol, with saline minerals and bath salts, a rush of lemon curd acidity and lime peel. Lovely piercing mouthful with seafood now, this is also one for the cellar.

Vintage 2021

Very restrained, shy, plain but clean aroma, with a trace of boiled lolly and a little yeastiness. The wine is likewise slightly confected on palate, lolly-ish and simple, with a tapering finish that has a few grams of sweetness then ends pleasantly clean. It's just a bit bland.
