Bruno GiacosaFalletto Vigna Le Rocche Riserva Barolo 2012
About this product
A Giacosa Barolo Riserva is a regular contender for the vintage’s greatest wine (and not just for Barolo/Barbaresco). So what would Giacosa do in a warm year like 2012, not one favoured particularly by many makers and certainly not the critics? Make a Riserva, of course! This is another great Giacosa and one of the world’s great wines. 20 days on skins, 36 months in large format (5000 lt French) and 27 months in bottle.

Vintage 2012
98 points
A rich and decadent Barolo with dark berry, meat and hints of chocolate and spice. Full body, layered and dense with some leather and walnut underlying the ripe fruit. Drink in 2020 but already beautiful.
