Vintage 2001
95 points
Medium to full brick-red to ruby colour. The bouquet is shy but mellow, and gamy; the palate lean-ish and very earthy and savoury, taking its time to blossom and display its complexity in the glass. Lovely wine, with a distinct kinship to the Clos de Beze of the same vintage tasted the same day, but not as transcendent as that wine.
