Fresh, bright Champagne, with moderate autolysis character and creamy and iced-pastry/patisserie aromas. Very pleasant balance for immediate drinking, with no imbalance of acid or sweetness peeping out. Good texture: I imagine this wine is less austere than it used to be.

Pale colour. Lovely classic non-vintage style with lifted lemon curd, grapefruit, grilled nut aromas with light crème brulée notes. Richly flavoured and supple with lemon curd, grapefruit, grilled nut amontillado flavours, fine al-dente textures, bright fresh mineral crisp acidity and superb mouth-filling and persistent mousse. The Lanson style is still the ideal aperitif Champagne but there is more richness and complexity.
