Pernand-Vergelesses 'Les Vergelesses' 1er Cru 2015

This is riper still with its liqueur-like aromas of purple fruit, especially plum, along with notes of spice, earth and forest floor. The impressively rich, suave and caressing medium-bodied flavours brim with sappy dry extract that serves to largely buffer the much firmer tannic spine shaping the beautifully persistent and highly complex finish.
