About this product

Enjoy layers of dark fruit and savoury spice built on a backbone of the dusty tannins for which Coonawarra is known. This shiraz expresses the bright flavours and structure of cooler-climate, French oak-matured shiraz, crafted in classic Penfolds style. Pair with braised beef or slow-roasted lamb.

Sadly, it is overpriced. With the drop in trade with China I was hoping for more reasonable pricing here. No sign of that so far. Am still buying it but restricting the daily enjoyment of this excellent wine to the weekend.

This used to be one of my favourites going back many years. However the steady and persistent price increases have pushed this well beyond its station. Such a pity but at nearly $50 a bottle there is far too much at half the price ayt Dan's
