Medium to light red colour with a good tint of purple. The bouquet is beautifully fragrant and fruit-driven, with beguiling aromas of strawberry, red cherry and raspberry, laced with a faint sprinkle of mixed spice. Light-bodied and intense, beautifully flavoured and balanced, with seamless flow and satiny texture. A delicious young pinot.

Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir. 15% whole bunches. 30% new French oak.Named after Cellar 23 at Magill. Reduction is the first impression. Then spice. Then macerated cherries. Then sweeter, brighter, more floral elements, like redcurrant infused with roses. Tannin curls through the wine like a cat around your legs. It’s difficult for a stewy pinot noir like this to achieve any kind of elegance but it makes a pretty decent play at it, it must be said.
