You can sense the influence of the southern French sun on the grapes as you sip this ripe, fruity wine. Guillaume Gonnet has fast gained a reputation for having a great affinity with the grenache grape. Here, he has created a rich, fruit-laden style with suppleness and smoothness. Dripping with cassis, strawberries and dark cherries and finishing with notes of chocolate and licorice, the fruit weight makes this a great foil for spicy foods. The wine finishes dry and with a touch of spice.
