ChambersRosewood Rare Muscadelle 375mL
About this product
The venerable Chambers Rosewood Rare Muscadelle, previously known as Rutherglen Tokay, is one of Australia’s greatest fortified wines. Many of the hand-pruned vines were planted in 1907, with the fruit picked and de-stemmed before vinification and fortification. Muscadelle develops differently from muscat. The young wines, typically smelling of cold English breakfast tea and tobacco, are an expression of vineyard, but when entered into the fractional blending system established in the 1890s, the wine develops mocha, espresso, vanilla and rich fruit complexity. 18% alcohol and residual sugar of 350 grams per litre.
