Meaty on opening, violet and spice, raspberry rope and blackcurrant. Medium bodied, juicy red and black fruit tempered by dried herb and surprisingly earthy tannin grunt – good! Acidity is well balanced and the finish is satisfying and drily tannic, if not quite the longest. Good. Pretty impressive really.
