Highly polished blueberry and blackberry fruit bouquet, showing well integrated toasty oak, Asian allspice, game and vivid mineral complexity; the palate is finely layered with vibrant red fruits and crunchy acidity prominent, offset by silky fine-grained tannins and an engagingly long and harmonious conclusion; a little time will also be well rewarded.

Deep red/purple colour: bright and clear. Complex roast meat and spice aromas, dusty earth as well, savoury and has primary fruit spices. Sweet cherry and raspberry flavours, elegant and medium to full-bodied, with a leanness and slightly sinewy profile. The fruit is a bit subdued at this time and the tannins are winning. I've seen a more expressive bottle of this elsewhere. Very good wine and will reward in the long haul.
