Traditional style. Little sign of oak, sweet core of fruit, deceptively assertive tannin but an overall impression of softness. It doesn''t look to be an ageworthy style but it will be. Blackberry, iodine and raspberry notes. Ferrous tannin. Good length.

Demonstrates the great synergy between Shiraz and Grenache that happens in the McLaren Vale. Opens with the d’Arenberg lawn clippings nose, raspberry, blackberry, red meat, flowers, spice. Medium to full bodied, juicy raspberry fruit, ripe sandy tannin, even acidity, succulent and pretty long. Meaty to close. Lovely wine. Really good to drink.
