About this product

Considered one of the world's great wine producers, Chateau Petrus' reputation is guided and enhanced by the combination of winemaker/winegrower Jean Claude Berrouet and Chateau owner Christian Moueix - these esteemed names have resurrected an estate obscured until the late 20th century, now set amongst the stratosphere. The estate is just under 12 hectares and set on dense clay soils. Merlot is the hero of Petrus and is characterised by incredible density and depth of flavour, often attributed to the old (70-year-old in many cases) vines and extended (22 to 28 months) time spent in new Frnech oak. 2010 has created an impossibly glorious wine, worthy of its ascension among the greats of France.
