Château La Tour de MonsMargaux 2010
About this product
Considered one of the better Cru Bourgeois estates in the Medoc, Chateau La Tour de Mons has a generational history with the Clauzel-Binaud family who continue to tend the 35 hectare estate. The wines are produced from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, though 2010 is 56% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon with a dash of Petit Verdot - the vineyards are showing their potential in years like 2010, and winemaking is increasingly showcasing the fruit with lower new barrel use and sending the wine to bottle unfiltered. Good drinking here.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
