About this product

In a prime location bordering the uber-producer of Sauternes, Chateau d'Yquem, Chateau Suduiraut farms 90 hectares of vineyards planted to 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, and is known for sweet wines of profound depth, balance and complexity. Farming sees the fruit harvested in tranches for selecting fruit, before the wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks - the wines mature in 33% new oak barrels for up to 24 months. In best vintages, like 2010, the wines can readily rival d'Yquem for potency and detail, plus the inevitable drinkability.
