Bright red fruits, pretty and almost jammy, nobbly licorice allsorts, lots of spice, smoky autumn leaves. Medium bodied, a bit fleshy with chalky tannin and certainly it’s pretty fresh – strawberried acidity pushes it along – yet it’s balanced and pretty yum. Some grip on the finish. Should cellar well, but goes all right now.
