Mommessin understand gamay well. Beaujolais reds from the house of Mommessin have been enjoying phenomenal success in our stores in the past couple of years, partially driven by the upsurge in popularity of lighter, quaffable reds. but also due to the consistently high quality of their wines. Moulin-a-Vent is one of the famous villages of the Beaujolais region, typically displaying structure and substance. This wine is a fine example, with sturdy dark fleshed cherry flavours, cherry pip notes and fine tannins providing the required structure. It retains an easy drinkability but is serious enough to match with, say, Peking duck.
