Full amber colour, like polished walnut, introduces this wonderful old tawny in its striking ship's decanter-style bottle. It shows tremendous depth of old rancio character, with high-notes of spices, brandy-snaps, old leather armchairs and dried fruits. In the mouth, it is beautifully balanced and elegant, with a clean finish. It doesn't have the weight, richness or sweetness level of a Rutherglen muscat or even a topaque, but is a great wine in its own right. (700ml, 17% alc)
