The second time this vineyard has been used for the release, the 2010 Messenger perfectly displays the warmer 2010 vintage and provides the perfect example of Cabernet from Coonawarra. First planted in 1985, this dry-grown block has deeper terra rossa soils which produce great wines in warmer seasons, and Wynns thought it fitting to acknowledge this quality with an individual label.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

A gorgeously seductive wine that articulates everything I love about Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. It's deep in colour with intense inky, cassis, roasted chestnut vanilla aromas. The palate is voluminous and chocolaty with lovely density of fruit, superb tannin ripeness, underpinned by roasted chestnut, vanilla nuances. The flavours and tannins plume at the finish like a peacock's tail. A wonderful discovery!
