Quite evocative in nature, Chapel Hill's Mourvedre is a dark and brooding red with wonderful hints of spice and violet tones. Very deep, dark red/purple colour. Dense black fruit aromas with some pepper, and plenty of oak. The palate is dense and rich, packed with flavour and liberally but sensitively oaked. A fair degree of chew. Tannic, stolid wine. This needs a lot of time.
