Earthy, leathery, savoury, dark fruit or mulberry, mocha notes, sweet black cherry, black olive and praline flavours on a finish with finely tuned tannins. The wine is starting to settle comfortably into middle-age with balanced, easy flowing grace. This 2009 is approaching its best but history tells us that St Henri's hold for many years.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Medium to deep colour with some development showing. A forward-developed, mellow, rounded bouquet. A soft and harmonious wine with no single variety dominating, and with appealing mellowness, although the tannins are grippy and slightly bitter. Good wine though. (only 3% cabernet)
