LeconfieldCabernet Sauvignon 2010
About this product
Hazelnutty toasty oak, mint, blackcurrant, blackberry – there’s no shortage of volume or density here. Tannin is ripe and plentiful and the acidity is fairly well managed – oak plays a fair, but not unwanted part in the proceedings, and alcohol warmth is present but not too intrusive. Has grip, length and authority, though some herbal elements lurk in the background and pull on the finish.

Deep red/purple colour. Rich, ripe black fruit aromas, sweetly ripe and delicious. Very, very intense and alive, loaded with energy and panache. The finish is tremendously, long and with oak integration. Tannins are very evident, but ripe and smooth and powdery. Great persistence and line. Great wine.

Dark fruit, cedary aromas and a light herbal touch. There's richness to the black fruit, and black olive and black earth flavours, all nicely contained in cedary oak, add positively to the amalgam It's soft, elegant and fine. Honouring its origins, a Coonawarra cabernet showing the great value of cellaring. Delicious.
