Wolf BlassBlack Label Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Malbec 2008
About this product
The 2008 vintage sees the 36th consecutive release of
Black Label, our iconic flagship, and the first
ultra-premium wine made by Wolf Blass in 1973.
Wolf’s aim was to create the finest red blend from the
vintage and, 36 vintages later, the sentiment is as true
today as it was then. Black Label enjoys a prestigious
history, a multi-award winning wine which is, to this
day, the only Australian wine to have won the coveted
Royal Melbourne Wine Show’s Jimmy Watson
Memorial Trophy a record four times.

Vintage 2008
95 points
Deep purple/red dense colour. Chocolate, vanilla and toasty oak aromas. The palate is full-bodied and firm, tight and concentrated, density and flesh are the hallmarks. Packed and supple, plush and velvet, smooth and supple, fruit sweet but not over the top, with chocolate and fruitcake flavours. Ample tannins provide big structure. Very long.
