I've been on my sick bed all week and I'm not properly recovered, which makes me hesitant to start reviewing again. But I opened a few whites this morning and felt that I had enough feel for them. This 2011 riesling from Wynns seems like a very good version of a trusty go-to wine. Excellent intensity, I have to say. Lots of lime and fresh green apple. A lot of this flavour is balled up in the mid-palate, though citrussy flavours always do a good job at leading the wine out through the finish, and they do again here. It gets a bit slatey and lemony as you swallow - more ticks in its favour. It'll be better in time too.
