A Cru Bourgeois Haut-Medoc with a peacock on the label. So much happy hunting to be had from 2009. Quick notes. Cherry, camphor, earth, a little cedar. Medium bodied. Firm tannin. Earthy. Good fruit and expression. Clean and long and fresh. Terrific. Tasty. Will buy at least six.

Big, firmly tannic wine, smoky and warm, with great swathes of black currant fruit. It is firmly structured, but it is the rich sweet fruits that are the attraction.
