Deep-flavoured, smotheringly oaked, and sweet. Minorly developed leather and blackberry and sweet oak flavour piled atop, and a smooth, supple, almost gamey texture. Big wine.

Medium to full red-purple; potent oak sits on top of the fruit on the bouquet; the texture and structure of the palate are excellent, with sweet tannins, but once again the flavours of the oak swamp those of the fruit. Others, I am sure, will happily accept the amount of oak and rate my judgement as harsh.
