Upon release, this Basket Pressed Shiraz showed a round, fleshy fruit palate with rich plum and mulberry flavours which have now calmed down with a few years behind it. Perfectly balanced and yet retaining its trademark boldness. Delicious.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Medium to deep red/purple colour. Sweet cherry plum fruit, ripe and clean. Sweetly superripe flavours, some preserved plum and a little tannin bitterness, but not a bad overall. Not a complex wine, it's quite straightforward and lacks real finesse, but it's a decent drink.
