Excellent crimson-purple; black and red cherry join forces with plum to offer a pinot with considerable attitude; one can hardly expect finesse at this price point, but you can have five bob each way: it is designed for early consumption (what else at this price point?), yet its best years are in front of it.

Nothing else at this price is worth poking a stick at, and in the great 2012 vintage this label blew all before it out of the water, offering value for money completely off the scale. Pure red cherries, rose hip and cherry kernel meet spicy pink pepper and brambles, supported by well formed, fine and textural tannins.
