This has very good ripe fruit aromas and flavours, and masses of ripe tannins. It's very drying but has the richness of flavour to balance. There's a slight lift that raises the question of volatility, but it’s not volatile to taste. Rich leather, earth, savoury: very typical of the variety.

Light, but bright hue; this is an awesome nebbiolo, rearing up on its hind legs and growling at anyone daring to open it before '20; its fragrance is exceptional, which only serves to magnify the shock and awe of the palate; if you see violets, good luck, but it won't change the palate.
