In the heart of the Montagne de Reims area of Champagne lies Paul Louis Martin and their Grand Cru vineyards. Blessed with an outstanding Grand Cru vineyard site that faces due South on chalky soil and is protected by North winds from the mountains adjoining the region. The Vintage Grand Cru Champagne is a blend of 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay and delivers a lighty toasty mouthfeel as well as flavours of brioche and a textured mousse accent. Only made in the best years, the Grand Cru Vintage is a precise sparkling with an elegant length of flavour.

Disappointed with old champagne

There was no mention on the bottle that this champagne was 13 years old. On receiving the bottle it was clearly marked 2007. I have read that the optimum time for vintage champagne is 7 years at the very latest 10 years. This was 13!!!
I wouldn't recommend to a friend
