Medium to light yellow: advanced colour development. Toasty/resiny early development: not fresh or youthful. A suggestion of acetone. Looked more and more volatile as it sat in the glass. Possible wild ferment. Palate is much better: it has flavour and softness, some refinement and character, with balance and length. Also a degree of richness. Ignoring the nose, it's a very good drink.
