A rollicking good red, and a multi gold medal winner, too! A nicely judged mix of Clare Valley sumptuous shiraz and earthy, spicy McLaren Vale shiraz, a wine that shows the benefit of the Australian tradition of regional blending. Chock full of flavour - blackberries, mulberries, plums, spice, vanilla, pepper to name a few - rounded and generous, and, holding its age extremely well. Carefully cellared by us for 5 years, this is a quintessential Aussie shiraz. Drinking well now, and for another few years. (Tasted May 2023)

Stainless steel-fermented, then transferred to used American oak. Seems to be showing a definite McLaren Vale influence, with earthy, chocolate-tinged aromas and flavours. Alongside that there's generous red and black fruit, some sweetness of oak, and gentle but persistent tannin seamlessly folded in.
