Wirra WirraChurch Block Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot 2014
About this product
Wirra Wirra Church Block was first made in 1972. It quickly established a reputation as a richly flavoured, smoothly finished red of outstanding value. Super- approachable in its youth, but with the structure to age well for ten years.A slash of attractive ruby scarlet in the glass, the nose carrying aromas of violets, cherries, a ferrous, earthy note, and blood plum, this wine is only half way through its life span. The fruit remains crunchy and bright, there's a freshening acid line and the tannins are resolving into the mix. Woody herb, cedar and toasted spices are revealed at the finish. The wine is perfectly drinkable right now, but another couple of years would make it even better.
