Aromas of black fruits, violets and barbecue followed by bitter chocolate and ground peppercorns with subtle toasty aromas. Full-bodied with soft acidity and solid tannins. Good density and tension.

Like drinking a thundercloud - with hints of bitumen road. Almost too much of everything. Packed full of flavour, with tonnes of dark fruit, licorice strap, toasted oak, bitter dark chocolate, gravelly tannins and a whack of warm alcohol, followed, unsurprisingly, by a healthy sprinkle of black pepper and dark spices. This is not for the faint-hearted. A “big Barossan” by any measure. Calling it “bold” is only halfway to the truth of it. Enjoy this with your favourite cut of aged, char-grilled beef for maximum effect. Diehard Barossa Shiraz drinkers are going to love this.
