A monumental, all-consuming 707 that stands as an absolute powerhouse built for the ages. The nose is brooding and intensely layered with generous blackcurrant, premium cedar, and mint, underpinned by a distinctive touch of leafy red capsicum and dried Italian herbs. On the palate, it exhibits a titanic clash of concentrated black fruits and high-class oak, revealing an impenetrable core of dark chocolate, espresso, and five-spice. Dense, packed with extract, and incredibly authoritative, it carries a firm, muscular finish that will unwind beautifully over decades of cellaring.

The small berries of the warm and dry 2024 harvest have given birth to a Bin 707 of commanding longevity, even in the context of the grand endurance that has forever characterised this label. While the nose carries great depth of the hallmarks of blackcurrant, cassis and the high cocoa dark chocolate influence of 100% new American oak, the palate calls for an exceedingly long time indeed to uncoil and unravel. Its tannin structure holds every promise of carrying it the full distance. Drink 2054-2074.
