Blackbird Sangiovese 2023 ($25) – A fine local Sangiovese from the Clare Valley, with entirely new packaging, this is a delicious drink which is also excellent value.
An appealing cherry red hue, the nose exhibits notes of warm earth, tomato bush, spices, red cherries and raspberries. There is good energy here, bright acidity and fine satiny tannins. A wine of decent length, it will provide pleasure for the next five to six years. Perfect for the Friday night footy or an upmarket barbecue with family and friends. 92.
