Dry, Full Bodied style of Cabernet SauvignonBordeaux, FranceGloria is an unclassified and relatively young estate, but renowned for producing wines that stand up to many of their more ancient and storied peers. It is often regarded as one of, if not the, best-value wine of Saint-Julien. The vineyard holdings include a small section of fruit grown in Pauillac, which are allowed to be added to the final blend by special dispensation. Original owner Henri Martin later purchased the classified Fourth Growth Ch. Saint Pierre, for which the wines are made on-site at Gloria, by the same technical team. Gloria is now run by Martin’s son in law, Jean Louis Triaud. Major renovations of the cellars and facilities were completed in 2016.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Deep crimson. Elderberry, blackcurrant, hint cedar, aniseed aromas with notes of dark chocolate, fine bittersweet textures and fresh juicy acidity. Very good density and mineral torque. Elemental but well balanced wine. (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot 40 percent new oak)

A linear and very fine wine with blackberry, blueberry and currant character. Hints of cedar and stone. Medium to full body. Linear and fine finish. Very well done.
