A little bit French, a little bit chic...a lot of Penfolds! Beautifully balanced, displaying an array of flavours from leaf to black currant, mocha to vanilla, mulberry to licorice, and cedar to tobacco. A generously flavoured red with impressive length.

Tobacco, blackcurrant, cedar and mulched leaves on the nose; full bodied and quite firm, the tannins are fine and firm, linear and focused, still quite tight and with a big backbone of what tastes like skin tannins (as opposed to oak tannins). Smart wine; needs cellaring. Drink 2028–2047.
