About this product

For over 500 years, the Philipponnat family has been deeply rooted in the heart of Champagne's finest terroirs, in Ay and Mareuil-sur-Ay. A family of vignerons, winemakers and merchants since the 16th century, they famously supplied their wines to Louis XIV, the Sun King. The house’s 20 hectares of vines are Grand and Premier Cru, ensuring quality and intensity in the wines. First press juice of exclusively Premier Cru plots located adjacent the famous Clos des Goisses with only 2710 bottles produced for this vintage. La Remissonne reveals an expressive bouquet of ripe yellow fruits like apricot and quince, layered with notes of fresh strawberry, rose petals, and a hint of spice. The palate is full-bodied, rich, and concentrated, balancing zesty citrus and a twist of aromatic orange peel with a creamy texture. The finish is incredibly long, persistent, and perfectly balanced with a savoury, chalky character.
