864 Henk Aqueduct Block Chardonnay 2024

The Oakridge 864 range is a showcase of highly detailed micro-selections from the most exceptional single vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley. This Chardonnay comes from the Henk Vineyard, Aqueduct Block in Woori Yallock, a north-facing site at 240 metres elevation. Planted in 2008, the vineyard’s red volcanic soils and cool climate produce wines of precision, purity and depth. A vibrant Chardonnay with lifted aromas of freshly squeezed lemon, citrus zest, white flowers and nougat, layered with notes of subtle flint, ginger and roasted hazelnut. The palate delivers an immediate burst of mouth-filling lemon and lime, accompanied by soft nougat and a deft touch of charred caramel. A cool, driving line of acidity cuts through the core, leaving the mouth salivating, while the texture is glass-smooth with a finish evocative of polished river stones. A classic, understated, yet powerful Aqueduct Chardonnay.
