Tardieu-Laurent is a family-run micro-négociant founded in 1994, known for sourcing grapes from old vines across the Rhône region and crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention. Sourced from renowned sites like Plateau de Mont Redon and La Crau, this wine is a blend of 75% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, and 5% Cinsault, with vines averaging 60-80 years old. With 50% whole bunch fermentation, it spends 10 months in 1-2 year old barrels, followed by 10 months in foudre. The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape displays dark berries, spices, garrigue, and earthy notes on the nose. The palate is concentrated and deep, with firm yet refined tannins providing balance. The finish is dense and layered, leaving a long-lasting impression. An excellent wine with great aging potential.
