LeconfieldLonicera Coonawarra Merlot Cabernet Franc
About this product
Lonicera is the genus for the plant species commonly known as the honeysuckle. The name Coonawarra is believed to have come from the Indigenous Australian language for the same, but with reference to a native Banksia. Perhaps a simple connection was observed between the colour of the honeysuckle flower and that of the now famous Terra Rossa soils of the Coonawarra region. A luscious and velvety, medium bodied, dry red wine, exhibiting juicy red fruits of plums and mulberries, combined with lifted violets. Soft and smooth tannins deliver voluptuous mouthfeel and exceptional length.

Bright purple colour and a fresh, lifted, aromatic nose of crushed leaves, cedar and blueberries. Sweet fruit, soft fine tannins: a very guzzlable, smashable merlot.
Delicious!
