As others have pointed out the significant drop in abv has diluted the overall taste, character and finish. It's still a lovely mellow drop despite the obvious shrinkflation.

I was looking forward to smooth mellow drink but really disappointed with the finish. Will probably look for 47 to see if it is better.

This batch is slightly lower abv than some of the other small batch expressions you see in Australia. You can definitely tell the difference in flavour between this and the 47% version. Spend a few more pennies and get that one.
