Dry, Full Bodied style of Cabernet SauvignonOur cabernet merlot is a combination of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. The fruit has been picked from some of the oldest vines on the Freycinet Coast of Tasmania.
This wine is an absolute cracker. Really easy drinking, yet well structured and will cellar for 8-10 years. Hand plunged twice daily for nine days. Wine was then transferred to French oak barriques, matured in barrel for 12 months prior to blending and finishing for bottling.
It is a beautiful dark crimson colour. With aromas of red and black forest fruits and subtle notes of vanilla and spice. The palate shows juicy red and black fruits with a fine tannin structure and moorish acidity that renders this wine immediately approachable.
