Lowburn Ferry was an historic crossing point over the Clutha River used by early settlers in Central Otago, now flooded by a hydro lake. The Ferryman lends his name to our special reserve wine crafted only in exceptional vintages. This is a concentrated, medium-bodied wine with ample fine grained tannin building in intensity towards the back palate, with a long lingering finish.

Light bodied red wines have a water-light mouthfeel and light flavour impact. Often pale to light/medium in colour.
